"You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek" (Psalm 110:4). This was the psalm that was sung at my ordination and it is a piece of Scripture that I hold very dear. I am blessed to have been raised in a Catholic family. Ever since childhood, attending Mass, being prayerful, and doing what God asks was always very important. I was also blessed to have so many good examples in my life of how to live our baptismal call to holiness. This was really meaningful to me as I discovered my desire to become a priest. In fact, I wanted to become a priest ever since first grade. Since then, it has been all I have ever known.

My family and friends have been supportive along with my home parish, St. John Paul II, on Milwaukee's south side. One of the most influential figures in bolstering my faith, is my home parish pastor, Fr. Mike Ignaszak, who has been and still is, a great friend and mentor. Over the years of my formation, I have learned a lot about myself, and God, but one of the best things has been realizing more and more how active God is in my daily life.

I grew up on Milwaukee's south side, the only child of Roy and Barb. Many of my moms family members live in the area; so, I was always surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins. I attended St. Helen's grade school, graduating from Holy Wisdom Academy, which is now St. John Paul II Parish School. From there, I attended St. Thomas More High School, graduating in 2008. Following high school, I studied Philosophy at UW-Milwaukee for five years earning a Bachelors Degree in 2013. In fall of that year, I began my seminary studies at St. Francis de Sales Seminary and was ordained a priest on May 19, 2018.

A few of the joys in my life are being with family and friends, and sharing a meal. Some of my fondest memories are just being together with important people in my life, and sharing and laughing about different things. It is true that I am a devout Packer fan. So, if the Packers are playing at noon, and I have the 11:00 am Mass, I can promise you a short homily!

I love my job! I love being a priest! Two of my favorite aspects of priesthood are celebrating the sacraments, and spending time in the school with the children. The sacraments allow a priest to enter into peoples lives at critical moments both joyous and challenging. That is a privilege for which I am very grateful. I have come to love teaching in the classrooms because there is such great opportunity to impart the faith and also promote vocations. Our children are the future of our Church, and to play a role in their formation is a great joy.

Being appointed Pastor of St. Mary Parish is a tremendous blessing. Our parish has an over 180-year history beginning with the Irish immigrants who settled here. Fr. Patrick O'Kelley was the Milwaukee areas first resident priest and the first pastor of St. Mary Parish. There have been many good and holy priests who have followed in his footsteps and I am very grateful to be one of them.

I am excited for the years ahead as together we continue to build the Kingdom of God, serve one another, and grow in holiness.

I am blessed to be able to educate all the fifth graders at St. Mary Parish School in Religion, Literature, English, and Vocabulary. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to teach and weave the faith of Christ into my subjects. I have been fulfilling that dream for many, many years at this distinguished school. It is now an honor and a privilege to be educating my former students children. Love that many parents cherished their education from St. Marys to come back and send the next generation to receive a quality education. I enjoy learning new things and I think that's why I love teaching. I want to help children see that growing in knowledge and faith is the key to a happy life. Since I value learning, I continue to further my education by reading books about best practices for growing in the areas of reading, writing, and English skills. Educating in a Catholic environment is extremely important to me and I relish the opportunity to teach in this outstanding school. It is where my husband and I chose to send our daughter because I have always been proud of the education all children receive at this school, not only academically, but also spiritually and morally. I count my blessings every day and I feel very fortunate to work where my faith can be a part of daily lessons.

I delight in reading, praying, shopping, cooking, walking, and spending time with family and friends. I keep all my students and family in prayer throughout each year. I look forward to praying with your children and keeping your family in my prayers this school year.

My husband and I also like to go on nature walks with our kids and dog, play Catan, watch the History and Discovery channel, and go up north.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree, in 2015, from Carroll University. I started as a substitute teacher for Teachers on Call. I then accepted a position as an instructional aide at Edgewood Elementary in Greenfield. After two years at Edgewood, I accepted a position as a middle school teacher at St. Rafael. While there, I taught middle school mathematics, science, and social studies. I am very excited to be working with the wonderful staff, students, and parents at St. Mary.

My passion for teaching began while coaching little league baseball. I loved coaching so much I decided to return to school to earn my degree in Education. Prior to teaching I was a television engineer, but deep down I knew it wasn't my calling.

I live in Greenfield with my wife, daughter (Eve), two boys (Joe and Theo) and our dog J.E.T. My oldest son attends UW-Milwaukee and my youngest son attends Greenfield High School. I love to fish, coach, and spend time with my family.

Hi! My name is Annemarie Wood, and I am the seventh-grade English and eighth-grade English/Literature teacher. My greatest blessing is the opportunity to follow a child's path as they discover what they are capable of and how they can serve God with their gifts and talents. I hope to continue instilling the legacy of both academic and spiritual excellence in St. Mary's students.

I have a degree in Public Relations and Marketing from UW-Whitewater, but God called me onto a different path and received my Education degree from UW-Milwaukee. I was a teacher in the Milwaukee Archdiocese for many years before staying home with my five children. I returned to education as a reading specialist before coming to St.Mary's. I am also a contributing writer for several groups that support education and nearing completion of my Master's degree from Marquette University in curriculum and instruction and administration. I was also honored as a Herb Kohl Fellow in 2023. When I am not working, I love being with my family, celebrating and supporting the kids' many activities, playing games, and watching movies, and I enjoy renovating and updating our home.

It is a blessing to be on this journey with our middle school students as they continue to develop their relationship with Christ while learning more about what it means to live as a Catholic in today's world. These eager learners have much to share and are open to new experiences.

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with post graduate licensure through Cardinal Stritch University. As a lifelong learner, I continue to seek opportunities to discover more about current educational practices and spiritual development. My husband, Chris, and I have been married for over thirty years and strongly believe in Catholic education. Our two sons are successful graduates of St. Mary Parish School.

I look forward to forming a partnership with you and your student as we continue to grow in faith and knowledge.

We enjoy crafts, coloring, puzzles, games, and anything else the students have in mind. Each day is pretty unique with their active imaginations and unlimited energy, but that's what makes it enjoyable. When I have free time, I enjoy playing tennis with my family, hanging out with friends, and traveling for video game tournaments. I'm also a big fan of dogs!

I would like to thank the families and staff of St. Mary for the generosity they've shown me throughout my years working here. It has been great getting to know you all. Have a nice day.

Hello, Im Carolyn Jarecki, a Board Certified Coach with a Master's Degree in Counseling from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.

I am inspired to help students both in and outside of St. Mary's. Together we find their innate strengths and they build a resilience toolbox to help them their entire lives. In 2019, I founded my own company, iCareCoach.com, where I help individuals age 7 to adult to live their best possible life.

During the pandemic shutdown, I wrote a book to teach parents to coach their own children. It is a fun 3-week program getting 5-star reviews and helping families grow closer. Its called Your Best Kid in 21 Days and it is on Amazon.

St. Mary's is a special place; all 3 of my sons attended St. Mary's and I believe it was just the start they needed to help them to succeed. My passions outside of school are exercise, reading, and cooking. My husband and I love spending time with family, trips to watch our son play college baseball, and long walks with our dog.

Being part of the lives of the children and families of this vital parish school is one of my great blessings in life!

My name is Jesse Duwe, and I am thrilled to be back teaching physical education at St. Mary, Hales Corners! This will be my 3rd year here and 7th year teaching overall. I received my bachelor's degree from UW-Stevens Point and am licensed to teach 5K-12th grade P.E. and health.

A little bit about myself -- I come from a family of five (3 sisters and 1 brother). I love to play sports, play video games, go fishing and camping, watch movies, and hang out with family and friends.

The reason I went into teaching was because my experience with phy ed was not the best, and I wanted to make a positive difference. I always loved sports and children, so I thought, why not combine that it will allow me to be a big kid forever (smile!). I want to teach young students the abilities and skills to live long and healthy lives. I want them to see physical education and activity as a positive thing, so I do my best to make my Physical Education environment a welcoming and inviting place for all.
