"You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek" (Psalm 110:4). This was the psalm that was sung at my ordination and it is a piece of Scripture that I hold very dear. I am blessed to have been raised in a Catholic family. Ever since childhood, attending Mass, being prayerful, and doing what God asks was always very important. I was also blessed to have so many good examples in my life of how to live our baptismal call to holiness. This was really meaningful to me as I discovered my desire to become a priest. In fact, I wanted to become a priest ever since first grade. Since then, it has been all I have ever known.

My family and friends have been supportive along with my home parish, St. John Paul II, on Milwaukee's south side. One of the most influential figures in bolstering my faith, is my home parish pastor, Fr. Mike Ignaszak, who has been and still is, a great friend and mentor. Over the years of my formation, I have learned a lot about myself, and God, but one of the best things has been realizing more and more how active God is in my daily life.

I grew up on Milwaukee's south side, the only child of Roy and Barb. Many of my moms family members live in the area; so, I was always surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins. I attended St. Helen's grade school, graduating from Holy Wisdom Academy, which is now St. John Paul II Parish School. From there, I attended St. Thomas More High School, graduating in 2008. Following high school, I studied Philosophy at UW-Milwaukee for five years earning a Bachelors Degree in 2013. In fall of that year, I began my seminary studies at St. Francis de Sales Seminary and was ordained a priest on May 19, 2018.

A few of the joys in my life are being with family and friends, and sharing a meal. Some of my fondest memories are just being together with important people in my life, and sharing and laughing about different things. It is true that I am a devout Packer fan. So, if the Packers are playing at noon, and I have the 11:00 am Mass, I can promise you a short homily!

I love my job! I love being a priest! Two of my favorite aspects of priesthood are celebrating the sacraments, and spending time in the school with the children. The sacraments allow a priest to enter into peoples lives at critical moments both joyous and challenging. That is a privilege for which I am very grateful. I have come to love teaching in the classrooms because there is such great opportunity to impart the faith and also promote vocations. Our children are the future of our Church, and to play a role in their formation is a great joy.

Being appointed Pastor of St. Mary Parish is a tremendous blessing. Our parish has an over 180-year history beginning with the Irish immigrants who settled here. Fr. Patrick O'Kelley was the Milwaukee areas first resident priest and the first pastor of St. Mary Parish. There have been many good and holy priests who have followed in his footsteps and I am very grateful to be one of them.

I am excited for the years ahead as together we continue to build the Kingdom of God, serve one another, and grow in holiness.

Hello! It is an honor and privilege to serve the outstanding faculty, staff, students, and families of this beautiful community. As the parish school, we build our exemplary program on the foundation of our Catholic faith. Within that framework, we continuously strive for an exceptionally high level of academic quality and spiritual growth enriching the students with Gospel values, fostering potential talents, and developing basic habits and skills needed for daily living as well as for the future. I have been a part of this amazing parish and school family for a long time as a parent, volunteer, coach, and substitute teacher in 3K/4K. I am blessed to be a part of this incredible staff that creates a strong sense of community.

I attended UW-La Crosse and continued my Early Childhood Education at Nicolet College. I met my husband Brian and decided to be a stay-at-home mom to my four children. I returned to substitute teaching when my older children, Kayla, Samuel, and Ethan, attended St. Mary Parish School. My youngest son, Liam, is in 4th grade at St. Mary.

In my free time, I love taking adventurous trips with my husband, and 4 children. I also enjoy reading, kayaking, volleyball, listening to live music (my husband plays the saxophone in a 70s band), and traveling to Woodruff-Minocqua, my hometown.

It is a blessing for me to be a part of your child's early education. I will inspire the love of learning in our littlest learners while growing their independence, social awareness, and understanding of our Catholic values.

Hello, my name is Ann Gennrich and I am beyond excited to be part of the St. Mary Parish School staff as the 3K Teacher Assistant. I look forward to exploring, imaginary play, crafting, and creating with your child this school year.

My daughter has attended St. Mary School since 4K and will be in 3rd grade this year. I have been very involved at St. Mary for the last 4 years. I have volunteered by helping in the lunchroom, the school office, and my favorite has been substitute teaching for all grades. My background is 20+ years in retail management ranging from small mall type stores to a large department store. I also have a technical diploma in Phlebotomy.

My free time is almost always spent with my family which consists of my husband (Garret), our daughter (Adelyn), and our very fuzzy cat (Cleo). Our favorite activity together is spending time at our up north getaway in WI Dells which includes lots of hiking, boat time on the river, and pool time on hot days. Adelyn certainly keeps us busy as well with her volleyball, swimming, and many other activities. I also enjoy reading, shopping, decorating, and being outside doing just about anything.

Hello, Im Carolyn Jarecki, a Board Certified Coach with a Master's Degree in Counseling from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.

I am inspired to help students both in and outside of St. Mary's. Together we find their innate strengths and they build a resilience toolbox to help them their entire lives. In 2019, I founded my own company, iCareCoach.com, where I help individuals age 7 to adult to live their best possible life.

During the pandemic shutdown, I wrote a book to teach parents to coach their own children. It is a fun 3-week program getting 5-star reviews and helping families grow closer. Its called Your Best Kid in 21 Days and it is on Amazon.

St. Mary's is a special place; all 3 of my sons attended St. Mary's and I believe it was just the start they needed to help them to succeed. My passions outside of school are exercise, reading, and cooking. My husband and I love spending time with family, trips to watch our son play college baseball, and long walks with our dog.

Hello, my name is Julie Vanderhoef. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from UW-LaCrosse, additional Middle School and Science Certifications from UW-Milwaukee, and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University.

My husband Joe and I have two children, both of whom attended St. Mary Parish School from 4K through 8th grade. Now that they are in high school and college, we are seeing firsthand how well the St. Mary staff prepared them for this next set of experiences and challenges in their lives. In addition to spending time with family and friends, I enjoy cooking, reading, and traveling.

I absolutely love the students, families, and staff I work with here at St. Mary. There is no place I'd rather be!

Hello, my name is Sheila Boinski. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Michigan Technological University. I worked for many years in hospital and reference laboratories before becoming a stay at home mom. As the Math Interventionist I am able to bring my love for STEM and working with children together. My husband Jeff and I have 3 wonderful children, Mikey and Kate, who attend St.Mary, and Kelly, who attends Catholic Memorial High School. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, reading great books, and watching our children play the sports they love including flag football, tennis, and basketball. I am so blessed to be a part of the St. Mary community, and am looking forward to a great year!

Hello, my name is Heather Schultz and I am the 3K-8th grade general music teacher. I am excited to begin my ninth year at St. Mary Parish School. I am a graduate of Viterbo University with a degree in Music Performance, Piano Pedagogy and a Church Music Minor. Later on I went back to school to receive my teaching license in general music. I am also a member of the Chant Claire Chamber Choir.

Prior to teaching at St. Mary, I spent two years in urban education. Catholic education has always been an important part of my life and so I am thrilled to continue my teaching career at a strongly faith-based school. This year I am excited to have all three of my sons, Joseph, Benny and Daniel attend St. Mary Parish School.

In my free time I enjoy learning to play new instruments, hiking, traveling, reading and spending time with family and friends.

My name is Jesse Duwe, and I am thrilled to be back teaching physical education at St. Mary, Hales Corners! This will be my 3rd year here and 7th year teaching overall. I received my bachelor's degree from UW-Stevens Point and am licensed to teach 5K-12th grade P.E. and health.

A little bit about myself -- I come from a family of five (3 sisters and 1 brother). I love to play sports, play video games, go fishing and camping, watch movies, and hang out with family and friends.

The reason I went into teaching was because my experience with phy ed was not the best, and I wanted to make a positive difference. I always loved sports and children, so I thought, why not combine that it will allow me to be a big kid forever (smile!). I want to teach young students the abilities and skills to live long and healthy lives. I want them to see physical education and activity as a positive thing, so I do my best to make my Physical Education environment a welcoming and inviting place for all.

Hello! My name is Crissy Matthews and I'm excited to return to St. Mary Parish School as the reading interventionist. My husband and I, along with our now young adult children, have been parishioners here for about 25 years. I taught lifelong faith formation classes here when my children were younger. I graduated from UW-Oshkosh with an elementary education degree and then decided a few years later to be a stay-at-home mom. I was a special education paraprofessional for ten years. I recently went back to school at UW-Stevens Point to earn my reading interventionist certification.

In our free time we love spending time with friends and family. We enjoy playing games, indoor or outdoor, being on the water, or just watching a good movie. I also enjoy sitting quietly and getting lost in a good book.

I'm looking forward to a wonderful year!!
