Hello! It is an honor and privilege to serve the outstanding faculty, staff, students, and families of this beautiful community. As the parish school, we build our exemplary program on the foundation of our Catholic faith. Within that framework, we continuously strive for an exceptionally high level of academic quality and spiritual growth enriching the students with Gospel values, fostering potential talents, and developing basic habits and skills needed for daily living as well as for the future. We always manifest our Christian standards and values through all our thoughts, words, and actions. Working well together with an excellent parish staff and countless dedicated parent committees, we maintain our reputation as one of the finest Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

I was born and raised in Milwaukee where I attended Catholic grade school and high school. I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Marquette University. I have been an educator in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee for over 35 years serving as teacher and principal at both the elementary and high school levels. I also taught in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Alverno College. I am proud of the strong reputation I have built for maintaining high standards and expectations when it comes to quality curriculum, engaging instruction, effective assessment, and successful professional development.

Family is very important to me. I enjoy spending time with my wife, Juliann, our four adult children and three grandchildren. I also very much enjoy running, landscaping, reading, and working on various small projects around the house.

Fr. Aaron Laskiewicz
Administrator

E-Mail AddressE-Mail @stmaryhc.org: LaskiewiczA (place the bolded text before @stmaryhc.org to create a valid address)

I am blessed to have been raised in a Catholic family. Ever since childhood, going to church, saying my prayers, and being a good Christian were very important. I was also blessed to have so many good examples in my life of how to live our call to holiness. This was really meaningful to me as I discovered my desire to become a priest. In fact, I wanted to become a priest ever since first grade. Since then, it has been all I have ever known.

My family and friends have been supportive along with my home parish, St. John Paul II, on Milwaukees south side. One of the most influential figures in bolstering my faith, is my home parish pastor, Fr. Mike Ignaszak, who has been and still is, a great friend and mentor. Over the years of my formation, I have learned a lot about myself, and God, but one of the best things has been realizing more and more how active God is in my daily life.

I am blessed to be able to educate all the fifth graders at St. Mary Parish School in Religion, Literature, English, and Vocabulary. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to teach and weave the faith of Christ into my subjects. I have been fulfilling that dream for many, many years at this distinguished school. I enjoy learning new things and I think that's why I love teaching. I want to help children see that growing in knowledge and faith is the key to a happy life. Since I value learning, I continue to further my education by taking professional development classes and reading books about best practices for growing in the areas of reading, writing, and English skills. Educating in a Catholic environment is extremely important to me and I relish the opportunity to teach in this outstanding school. It is where my husband and I chose to send our daughter because I have always been proud of the education all children receive at this school, not only academically, but also spiritually and morally. I count my blessings every day and I feel very fortunate to work where my faith can be a part of daily lessons.

It is a blessing to be on this journey with our middle school students as they continue to develop their relationship with Christ while learning more about what it means to live as a Catholic in today's world. These eager learners have much to share and are open to new experiences.

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with post graduate licensure through Cardinal Stritch University. As a lifelong learner, I continue to seek opportunities to discover more about current educational practices and spiritual development. My husband, Chris, and I have been married for over thirty years and strongly believe in Catholic education. Our two sons are successful graduates of St. Mary Parish School.

I look forward to forming a partnership with you and your student as we continue to grow in faith and knowledge.

My name is Mitchel and I work as the Afterschool Care Coordinator here at St. Mary. The main goal of my position is to provide supervision to the students and also help them unwind with entertaining activities after a day of learning. We enjoy crafts, coloring, puzzles, games, and anything else the students have in mind. Each day is pretty unique with their active imaginations and unlimited energy, but that's what makes it enjoyable. When I have free time, I enjoy playing tennis with my family, hanging out with friends, and traveling for video game tournaments. I'm also a big fan of dogs!

I would like to thank the families and staff of St. Mary for the generosity they've shown me throughout my years working here. It has been great getting to know you all. Have a nice day.

Hi, I am Carolyn Jarecki. I am so happy to be serving as the Guidance Coach for the 6th year in such a wonderful environment as St. Mary's!

I am a Board Certified Coach (BCC) trained by the International Coach Federation accredited school MentorCoach. I also have a Master's Degree in Counseling from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.

I am so inspired to help students both in and outside of St. Mary's to tap into their innate strengths and help them to set and achieve personally meaningful goals. In 2019, I founded my own company, iCareCoach.com, where I help individuals ages 7 to adult to live their best possible life. And during the shutdown, I wrote a book to teach parents to coach their own children. It is a fun 3-week program getting 5-star reviews and helping families grow closer. Its called Your Best Kid in 21 Days and it is free on Amazons Kindle Unlimited.

St. Mary's is a special place; all 3 of my sons attended St. Mary's and I believe it was just the start they needed to help them to succeed. My passions outside of school are my family, exercising, and cooking. My husband and I love fun with our family, long walks with our dog, and home projects.

Being part of the lives of the children and families of this vital parish school is one of my great blessings in life!

Hello, my name is Heather Schultz and I am the 4K-8th grade general music teacher. I am excited to begin my seventh year at St. Mary Parish School. In my free time I enjoy learning to play new instruments, going for walks, reading, going to Brewer games and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Jesse Duwe
Physical Education Teacher

E-Mail AddressE-Mail @stmaryhc.org: duwej (place the bolded text before @stmaryhc.org to create a valid address)

My name is Jesse Duwe and I am thrilled to be teaching physical education at St. Mary, Hales Corners! I received my bachelor's degree from UW-Stevens Point and am licensed to teach 5K-12th grade phy ed and health. I have spent the last 4 years teaching in the Seton System at St. Charles Borromeo and Our Lady Queen of Peace.

A little bit about myself -- I come from a family of five (3 sisters and 1 brother). I was born in the UP of Michigan in Escanaba, but moved to the Milwaukee area in second grade and have been here ever since. My mom's family lives in the UP and dad's family lives in Wisconsin. I try to get to the UP to fish and camp when I have free time. I love to play sports, play video games, go fishing and camping, watch movies, and hang out with family and friends.

The reason I went into teaching was because my experience with phy ed was not the best and I wanted to make a positive difference. I always loved sports and children, so I thought why not combine that and it will allow me to be a big kid forever (smile!). I want to teach young students the abilities and skills to live long and healthy lives. I want them to see physical education and activity as a positive thing so I do my best to make my Physical Education environment a welcoming and inviting place for all.
