Reaching the Needs of Our Students

When Angelia Vogt, Director of Curriculum and Learning Support, isn’t spending time researching new curriculum, she is providing support for the students and teachers at St. Mary. Mrs. Vogt’s role includes writing formal educational plans for students who need extra support in and out of the classroom, as well as, students with advanced learning needs. She works closely with the parents and teachers to develop goals that include accommodations and modifications for the students. When needed, Mrs. Vogt steps back into the teaching role assisting in the classroom and teaching one-on-one or small groups of students. “Whatever it takes to help the students succeed and have their needs met,” says Mrs. Vogt, who is grateful for the opportunity to work in such an amazing community.
