Hello and Welcome to St. Mary Parish School. I am proud to be starting my fourth year as your principal. After receiving a Masters degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee in 2000 I began my career as a guidance counselor at Wauwatosa East High School. After being encouraged by colleagues to pursue a career in administration I pursed a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University and accepted the position as assistant principal at Wauwatosa East High School in 2005, where I remained until coming to St. Marys in October of 2008. I have enjoyed the quality teaching staff, dedicated students and families, and an extremely supportive Parish community during my tenure. St. Marys is a very special place.
This October my husband, Michael, and I will celebrate our eleven year wedding anniversary. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with Michael and our two dogs Brownie and D.O.G. Michael and I keep busy with our rather large families; we both come from families of seven and currently have 22 nieces and nephews, and even 1 great niece.

Mrs. Becki Kram
Director of Technology

My role at St. Marys is varied. As the Director of Technology, I strive to ensure the technology in our building is running smooth and effectively. I review current trends in software and hardware to determine the best tools to implement with our staff and students.

Another responsibility is to work with teachers to implement technology into their classrooms in order to create authentic learning opportunities for students. Look for your child to become an independent user of technology and understand how technology helps in their learning.

On a personal note, my own two children attend school here as well. While I always knew our school was excellent, it wasn't until I transferred my children here that I could really appreciate how amazing our entire staff is. I feel truly blessed to be apart of this community.

Mrs. Sue Stewart
K4 Teacher Assistant

E-Mail AddressE-Mail @stmaryhc.org: stewarts (place the bolded text before @stmaryhc.org to create a valid address)

I am the teacher assistant in the 4 year-old kindergarten classroom. I went to undergraduate school at UW-Whitewater, and grad school through Aurora University. I taught for seven and one half years in the St. Francis School District. The first six years were spent at the middle school level, mostly in eighth grade. The last year and a half was as a third grade teacher.

After my second child was born, I resigned to stay at home for a few years. I spent lots of time going to playgroups, kiddie classes and storytimes, but also found time to take a more active role in Elizabeth Ministry, tutor, and co-chair the Kiddie Game area at the festival. I also volunteered many hours in my children's preschool classes, which piqued my interest in becoming a teacher aide.

I love working with your children and feel blessed not only to help introduce your child to the world of school, but to take an active role the faith community my family belongs to. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my immediate family, including my 7th grade son and freshman daughter, our extended family and friends, baking, reading, and walking our dogs.

I have been blessed to be a part of the St. Mary's family since 1989. I graduated from U.W. Whitewater with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education although I started out in Special Education. It was in Whitewater where I met my husband, Tom. We were given a gift from God, our daughter Chrie, whom we love and admire dearly. She is now following in the footsteps of her parents and attending UW Whitewater as a freshman this year. I know that she will continue to utilize the faith and value based education that she received from St. Mary even in her college days.

Each year I continue to further my education by taking graduate or professional development classes. I love my job and enjoy being able to water the seeds already planted in my students each year. I also enjoy reading, cooking, stamping cards, walking my dog, and spending time with family and friends.

I began my career at St. Mary Parish School 31 years ago. I love Middle School aged students and enjoy the St. Mary's students because they are enthusiastic about learning and realize how important education is for the future.

The education, students receive at St. Mary's, is exceptional. I speak from experience as both my children graduated from St. Mary's and did extremely well in Catholic High Schools and in College.

My family and I enjoy the Fine Arts and traveling. We all took piano lessons for at least five years and Amy and Todd took them longer. We all sang in different school and church choirs for years and took part in performing in various plays. We also took professional dance lessons at different dance studios including Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Mequon and competed in dance competitions.(ballroom) My husband and I also taught adult classes in ballroom at Anita's Dance Studio in Muskego where Amy was also teaching young children ballet, tap and Jazz and Todd was in the Midwest Connection Dance Company and competed in Hawaii, Florida, California, etc.

We love to travel especially to places that Amy and I teach about. There is nothing more exciting than teaching from first hand experience. Of course, Disney World is one of my favorites, in case you didn't already know that. My dream is to spend time in Germany since I am full blooded German and I also want to visit Africa since I specialized in African history in college. There is so much to see and learn about in this wonderful, exciting world. Thank you!

Mrs. Jude Kosmider
Grade 8 English/Literature Teacher, Grade 7 English,

E-Mail AddressE-Mail @stmaryhc.org: kosmiderj (place the bolded text before @stmaryhc.org to create a valid address)

Upon graduating from Marquette University, I began teaching high school English. When my eldest son was born, I put my teaching career on hold in favor of being a full time mom. My career here at St. Mary's began as a volunteer mom tutoring in the Library and Learning Center. Both of my sons are graduates of St. Mary Parish School. The need for a long-term English sub arose in what was then the Junior High and, when asked to fill it, I agreed. I discovered a love of teaching early adolescents, and, hence, that 4th quarter substitute position became a 25 plus-year commitment to the students and families of SMPS.

Because of my love of learning, I am frequently cast in the role of student. I have a master degree from Mount Mary College and continue to enjoy the challenge of graduate classes. My most rewarding graduate class occurred during the summer of 2004 when I attended three weeks of drama classes in England, first in Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon and then in London at the University of London. The fulfillment of this lifelong dream was made possible through fellowships I received from the Herb Kohl Fellowship Award and from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

I also love to write, especially poetry and non-fiction, and toy with the idea of someday writing for publication. Reading is another passion of mine, especially non-fiction and historical fiction.

Most mornings I can be found taking a pre-dawn, four-mile walk, which both energizes and relaxes me. I love to travel and look forward to further opportunities to study and travel abroad. My dream is to some day teach English in the Far East, preferably China, whose ancient culture fascinates me. By far, the greatest source of joy for me is time spent with my family.

It is a blessing to be on this journey with our middle school students as they continue to develop their relationship with God and learn more about our faith. They have much to share and are open to new experiences.

My undergraduate degree is from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and I am currently working on my Master's degree through Cardinal Stritch University. I am continuing my own journey of being a life long learner and want to help our students value the joy of learning as well.

I enjoy Scrabble, sheepshead, reading, golf, geocaching, and spending time outdoors in God's creation with my family and friends.

My husband, Chris, and I have been married for over twenty five years and have two sons who are successful graduates of St. Mary Parish School. Donovan is a senior at Marquette University majoring in math and Kevin is a freshman at the University of Minnesota majoring in computer engineering.
I look forward to forming a partnership with you and your student as we continue to grow in our faith.

God's Blessings!

Hola! My name is Dawn Gilles and this is my second year at St.Mary's as the K-8 Spanish teacher. I have previously taught at the Milwaukee Spanish Immersion School in grades K, 1 and 2. I also taught Spanish to the Elementary students at Brookfield Academy for the past four years. I have been a member of St Mary Parish since I was in middle school. My husband and I were married here (in the old church) and our four children have been baptized at St Mary's. I feel blessed to now be a staff member in this wonderful community.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outdoors and teaching group exercise classes.
