Pastoral Care

To carry out the healing action of Jesus, pastoral care offers a sacramental presence to those who are sick, homebound, dying, or grieving. Parish members hear the call to share the love of Jesus with those within the parish community who suffer. Training volunteers in the pastoral skills of listening, caring, and bringing Eucharist to the suffering, St. Mary seeks to fulfill the corporal and spiritual works of mercy to bring comfort to the sorrowing and solace to the ill.

Do you have an interest in sharing some of your time with parishioners who are homebound, in the hospital, assisted care facility or nursing home? If so, we invite you to consider joining the Pastoral Care ministry team at St. Mary.

Are you or is someone you know going to have surgery or homebound? Please, let us know! St. Mary has a very active pastoral care ministry that provides communion visits to people in these situations.
