Parish Council
The purpose of the parish council is to advise the pastor with pastoral planning that takes into consideration the needs of the parishioners, the Archdiocese, and the community at large. The parish council sets direction for the parish by developing plans and approving policies to fulfill the parish mission statement.
The Council is responsible for guiding and determining the direction and decision-making of the parish. Members provide leadership and planning based on the mission of the church and parish. The council consists of 12 members elected from the parish at large and other ex-officio members. The latter includes the priests, pastoral associate, two trustees, and a youth representative.
The council consists of 12 councilors (each serving one 3 year term), the parish priests, two trustees, and two youth representatives. Councilors rotate on an annual basis with 4 new members each year. New members are selected in the spring through a discernment process.
Each council member is assigned to be a liaison to a commission/committee and reports back to the Parish Council. Parish council meets in the evening's once/month for 2 hours. Meeting time requirements depend upon the committee assigned, typically 3 to 4 times per year.
This is your parish, and we, your parish council representatives. We hope that this directory helps put names to faces and also facilitates communication between you and the parish.

Father Charles Schramm
Father Chuck grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where his 88-year-old father still lives. He makes weekly trips to visit his father, who lives on his own, shovels his own snow and cuts his own lawn. He also has two sisters who live in the Fond du Lac area. Father Chuck graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac, and served in the U.S. Army. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, and Master of Theology degree from St. Francis Seminary in Milwaukee. He subsequently earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He currently is serving as chair of the Archdiocesan Wellness Council for Priests.
Among his special interests in ministry are preaching and presiding (look for his trademark yellow legal pad containing his homily notes), counseling and adult formation. He also is devoted to promoting a parish climate conducive to maximizing individual potential and team work. His leadership style is to get to know people through informal opportunities as well as through official structures. "I like to help people to think. You may not always agree with my point of view but if we can have a thoughtful discussion, I feel we have been successful."
On a personal level, Father Chuck is an avid reader. He's dedicated to his regular exercise regimen, and also likes movies and relaxing with friends and family.

Clint Lester
Clint has been a member of St. Mary Catholic Faith Community since 2006. He and his wife Jennifer were married in 2003 and after moving to Greendale in 2006, they quickly discovered that St. Mary was the right place for them. In 2011 they welcomed their first child, Norah, to their family. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, running a half-marathon each year, and playing in a summer golf league.
Having been a member of the St. Mary conference of St. Vincent de Paul since 2009, and volunteering at the Parish Festival since 2010, Clint saw joining Parish Council as an opportunity to become more involved in the inner workings of the parish, and allowing him to offer insight and ideas from someone relatively new to the St. Mary community. The experience of joining Parish Council has been tremendously rewarding: deepening his faith and love for God, strengthening his relationship with his fellow Council members, and ensuring to the best of his abilities that the Parish continues to be one of the most giving and caring in the diocese.
